Joe's Crab Shack
City: Sacramento (Old Town) 8pm

Summary:
After choosing this restaurant to eat, we know you have to park in a nearby parking garage. We figured we'd park and during the wait to eat we could walk and get cash for the parking garage for the way out, only to find out that you must prepay for parking, WITH CASH ONLY! No plastic! This made issues cause the person collecting the cash would not let us pull in and turn around, but instead we had to back out (with about 5 cars behind us) and the area was NOT made for that! After coming back with cash for parking, the garage was virtually full, spaces were small and frustration levels were high before we even got food in our mouths! We had a 20+ minute wait before we got seated. With 3 adults and 2 kids, we ate Dungeness Crab, Chipotle Cheeseburger, Chicken Club Sandwich, Clam Chowder, Kids Chicken Breast, and Kids Shrimp w/ drinks for a total of $67.00 prior to tip. Theres definitely not anything wrong with the food, it was pretty good, but I think their high point was the ambience inside the restaurant. There is so many interesting things to see, especially for the kids, including a great view of the boats going down the Sacramento river, and the staff dancing to songs like "Cotton Eye Joe" and others throughout the night. The kids loved that part! If you can deal with the parking and the wait, especially on a weekend, then you'll probably have a good time here.
